Animal Mysticism
What are your favorite animals trying to tell you? Exploring our current and past relationships
with animals can give us greater insight into our own behavior. The concept of the witch's
familiar is misunderstood even to this day. We will examine the history of familiars and connect
it to animal totems of today, using approaches from science, evolution, myth, and magic to help
us reconnect with Nature in new ways to strengthen old bonds.

Intro to Shamanism
In this basic introduction to the shamanic path, we will explore what it means to be a
shamanic practitioner and why now, more than ever, the shamanic worldviews are needed.
We will discuss: What is shamanism? We will look at this historically and cross-culturally
including some of the tensions between indigenous shamanism and modern neoshamanic
practitioners. What is the role of a shaman in a community? What is the difference between a
shaman and a shamanic practitioner? We will explore the deeply interwoven nature of the
shamanic worldview. We will learn how the shaman journeys to underworld, midworld, and
upperworld and the differences in guidance you will find there. Finally we will learn about
totem animals, animal guides, and spirit teachers and how to build relationships with them.
